The Complex Systems and Control Laboratory (CSC-Lab) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University focuses on modeling and control methodologies for complex systems, dedicated to advancing the practical applications of advanced control algorithms in process industries and intelligent transportation. Led by Professor Dewei Li, the laboratory benefits from first-class research conditions and an interdisciplinary research platform, undertaking multiple major national projects.
From May 10th to 11th, the 5th China Model Predictive Control and Intelligent Decision Conference (CMPC) was held in Shanghai. The conference was hosted by the Chinese Association of Automation and its Professional Committee on Predictive Control and Intelligent Decision, organized by the School of Automation and Perception at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and co-organized by Hollysys KAYO Technology Co., Ltd. and the Shanghai Automation Society. More than 200 experts, scholars, and industry professionals from the field of predictive control and intelligent decision-making at home and abroad attended the conference, including Wu Qidi, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education; Guo Lei, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and researcher at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, CAS; Guan Xiaohong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor at Xi’an Jiaotong University; Wang Xingyu, former President of East China University of Science and Technology; Zhou Donghua, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Association of Automation and Professor at Southeast University; Yang Zhenbin, Party Secretary of Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Guan Haibing, Vice President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Chair Professor Xi Yugeng, and more. The opening ceremony was hosted by Guan Haibing.
Recently, the launch meeting of the National Key R&D Program for Clean and Efficient Coal Utilization Technology - “Key Technologies and Equipment for Coal Conversion Process Closed-Loop Control System” was held at the Minhang Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Led by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, this project brings together eight top domestic research institutions and enterprises, including Tsinghua University, Central South University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry (Chinese Academy of Sciences), HOLLiAS Kayoubei Technology Co., Ltd., Yucheng Xuyang Energy Co., Ltd., and Cangzhou Xuyang Chemical Co., Ltd. The project aims to overcome key technical bottlenecks in the refined management and control of the coal chemical industry, promote green and efficient development in China’s coal chemical industry, and support the country in building a secure, self-reliant new energy system.
Recently, the launch ceremony of the “Intelligent Manufacturing System Control Joint Laboratory” led by Professor Dewei Li from the School of Automation and Perception at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, in collaboration with Midea Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Midea Group”), was held at the Midea Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute in Midea Global Innovation Center.
